Chef Alex



Alex Belew resides in Middle Tennessee. He is the Executive Chef/Owner of Dallas & Jane and MADE SOUTH HOSPITALITY. With over 24 years in the hospitality industry he opened his first restaurant in May of 2018 and it has been recognized as Rutherford County’s Best Restaurant by Eater Nashville. He has also owned a successful catering company for over 12 years. Alex has spent time in and worked in some of the best kitchens and restaurants in the nation such as; Blackberry Farm, Spoon & Stable, Husk Nashville, and Brasserie Jo’s. Alex graduated from The Art Institute with Honors in 2008.


In addition to working in restaurants he was also a culinary instructor at Blackman High School from 2012-2015 where he made the program the #1 high school culinary program in the state and led his team to win the NRA Prostart State Cooking Competition. He is married to Sarah Belew and they have 2 boys, Riah (5) and Mason (3). He has won several national cooking contests such as the Fan favorite in the Chef’s Taste Competition in New Orleans, The KC Steak cook off, and the National Pork Producers Taste of Elegance 2 times. He has also done 2 shows for the Food Network.
